Engineers Without Borders - USA
2008 Annual International Conference
March 27-30, 2008
University of Washington, Seattle
Sustainable Engineering and Global Health

Dear Members and Friends,

Please accept this personal invitation to join us in Seattle, March 27-30, 2008, at the University of Washington for our 2008 International Conference:

"Sustainable Engineering and Global Health"

Our Seattle Conference Committee, made up of representatives from the University of Washington, Seattle University, and the Puget Sound Professional Chapter, has been working hard to create an exciting and inspiring agenda.  Beginning with our Keynote Speaker, William H. Gates, Sr. on Friday morning, the conference is filled with dynamic speakers, compelling presentations, and workshops and panels that are relevant, thought-provoking and educational.  Both day and evening events will provide ample opportunity to network, socialize, and even see some of the sights of our beautiful host city.

This conference features many opportunities for connecting with EWB-USA members, businesses, corporations, trade associations and other non-profit groups.  A limited number of businesses will introduce themselves to you during lunch on Saturday, and we will have a scheduled time to meet people and visit booths that afternoon.

Please plan on joining us for a campus welcome reception on Thursday evening, a very special Awards Party at the Seattle Museum of Flight on Friday, and an international banquet on Saturday evening.  On Saturday night, you will have the chance to visit the hotspots of Seattle based on recommendations from our hosts.

With plenty of interaction, project presentations and poster displays, you will find yourself re-energized and ready to continue the transformative work of EWB-USA and our global partners.  Please join us.  Register soon as space is limited.

I look forward to seeing you in Seattle!

Cathy Leslie, P.E.
Executive Director
