Saturday Afternoon | Michael Sheldrick

Michael Sheldrick, Co-Founder and Chief Policy Officer at Global Citizen, brings his expertise in poverty eradication and climate resilience. Author of "From Ideas to Impact: A Playbook for Influencing and Implementing Change in a Divided World," he has worked alongside global leaders and cultural icons to create transformative change. Michael's keynote will inspire attendees with his journey from academic struggles to co-founding a global movement.

Sunday Morning | Crystal Tulley-Cordova, PhD, MWR (Diné)

Dr. Crystal Tulley-Cordova, Principal Hydrologist for the Navajo Nation, is a passionate advocate for sustainable water solutions in tribal communities. With 1 in 3 households in the Navajo Nation lacking clean water, her groundbreaking research and advocacy for tribal sovereignty over water rights are paving the way for a better future. Crystal's keynote will offer invaluable insights into the intersection of science, community, and resilience for communities most in need in the United States.

Friday - March 7

  • 8 am - 3 pm: Dive into hands-on workshops on solar, geospatial tools, water systems, and more - or join a meaningful local volunteer activity
  • 3 pm - 4 pm: Get inspired at the Opening Keynote
  • 4 pm - 6 pm: Cheer on creative ideas at the Poster Contest & Reception*
  • 7 pm - 9 pm: Explore Charlotte and take advantage of the special discounted rate to see the Charlotte Hornets take on the Cleveland Cavaliers

Saturday - March 8

  • 9 am - 4 pm: A full day of keynotes and sessions focused on real-world applications, problem-solving, and impactful projects. Network with fellow volunteers and collaborate with EWB-USA partners to exchange ideas and strengthen connections
  • 5 pm - 7 pm: Discover your next big step at the "Find Your Next Opportunity" Fair - explore jobs, advanced degree programs, and service opportunities

Sunday - March 9

  • 9 am - 1 pm: Continue exploring keynotes and sessions to gain valuable insights and strategies for your work with EWB-USA
  • 2 pm - 5 pm: Celebrate your weekend of impact at the End-of-Conference Celebration! Join us for a fun and energizing conclusion to connect, reflect, and unwind with fellow attendees

Are you a student in need of funding to attend the conference? We’ve created this step-by-step guide to help you seek funding from your university to offset the costs of conference attendance.

For professionals, we will be offering Professional Development Hours for attended conference sessions. Ask at the check-in desk for the PDH form.

*Do you have exciting research related to community development, or humanitarian engineering? We are still accepting abstracts for our research poster contest and reception. If you would like to be considered please submit your abstract by February 9, 2025.
